Scaling up for flagships.
THE IDEA
The 1000sqm “Explore” store at Everton Park shows how our concept is scalable. It wasn’t a simple double-up of the Barbeques Galore Express store.
The Barbeques Galore team expanded the range to include outdoor and pool accessories, brew kits, an expanded demo area and even fresh meat. We responded by adding to the kit of parts. We created additional design features such as the Steak House and the Brew House. It was even more attractive and immersive than the Express store, and certainly more productive.
And by taking advantage of the site’s existing attributes and some careful value engineering, we managed to keep it affordable. The cost was the same per square metre cost as the Express store.
