Lifting the lid on fan favourite.

 

THE IDEA

A contemporary classic! Hot on the heels of ELEVENCOM's rebrand of Australia’s iconic Cheesecake Shop, McCartney Design was tasked with modernising an old fan favourite. The space is light, bright and authentic with a retro vibe. Customers enter and know they are in a real kitchen complete with the theatre (and smells) of cakes being baked, iced and packaged on premise!

These days it's all about the ‘cake box’. The architecture of the space is literally a cake box (where the kitchen operates) and the counter was designed to hero cakes and give the impression of a production bench coming fresh out of the kitchen, complete with the packaging on display ready to take away.

The Cheesecake Shop operates as a franchisee model, so this fit out is cost effective, scalable and designed to adapt across an existing retail network - whether it's a light touch, or a full scale renovation.
